Gillmor Gang Enterprise With Ben Kepes

The Gillmor Gang Enterprise edition on Feb 7, 2012 dived deep into several Orwellian, Enterprisian concepts. Ben Kepes, the provocative elite analyst from New Zealand was on hand to discuss the difference between open and closed systems, Utopian versus Dystopian  theories, whether Apple is getting too big, if Microsoft was legislated out of being evil, and if Google is the evil heir apparent. Ben opened the discussion on Megaupload, a company run by Kim Dotcom (seriously) and is a little too close to home for Ben. I played the part of the resident reporter, while Steve Gillmor reigned in the discussion.

Gillmor Gang with David Dobrin

The Gillmor Gang Enterprise Edition had a superb call with David Dobrin, principal at B2B Analysts, Inc. Dobrin, as always, brings an academic feel to the enterprise analyst space, which he has been covering since it began to matter. Dobrin discusses the impact of social on business, how mobile devices and consumerization are threatening CIOs, and he gives a good state of the enterprise as it exists today. Steve Gillmor once again is the master producer, and I once again take the role of the fledgling reporter.
